Simon who founded the company is a Traditional time served apprenticed Boat Builder and Marine Engineer. We Specialise in Wooden Boats & We can repair wooden boats up to 12 m regardless of type of wooden construction, We can build them too!
We can also repair your fibreglass boat as well!

At J-Star Boat Services we work using TRADITIONAL SKILLS & at the same time uses MODERN MATERIALS to ensure that the client gets the BEST results from using our services.
Quailty is our key, repairs that will last the test of time, all work is guaranteed, we stand by our work. We are not cheap, but we are good. You pay for the experience that we have in the industry.
All wood & other materials such as copper nails and silcone bronze screws etc... are sourced locally & where possible the Oak and other woods used in the repairs and restorations is from locally felled trees if this is not possible are sourced locally where possible.
In the Spring/ Summer of 2010 the staff of J-Star Tuition & Boat Services are taking part in a Sailing Challenge to help raise funds for people with epilepsy in our local area.
